This courthouse was one of the pleasant surprises on this trip. The exterior was a very good representation of the classical style so popular in the 1900’s. But is easy the interior that really set this courthouse apart. The hallways and the courtroom were all decorated with intricate ceiling trims made of plaster. In addition, the other trims – the light fixture, the heat reisters, etc all were original and very stylistic. Overall – a very nice courthouse to stop by when your heading off to West Texas. In fact, this is the style of courthouse that we were not able to enjoy in San Angelo!
