Hamilton County Courthouse Restore – here
Impression – we took these photos on a trip to the DFW area. We were attending a graduation. We stopped on the road on the way up and back, even though we were pulling a trailer. It’s sometimes difficult to find adequate parking with the trailer, but it was quiet and we didn’t have any problems in Hamilton.
The courthouse was interesting – the towers looked medieval, and each entrance had some type of carving placed over it. Inside, while looking dated, did have an interesting chandelier. The county museum was located inside as well.
I’ve since heard that the courthouse has been restored – but not necessarily in the Second Empire of the original building. That’s because the remodeling has itself, become historical. The restoration is of the exterior only. So I guess we need to add the courthouse back on the list for future visits.
