Return to Leon County Courthouse

Sorry – only one picture.  When we first started photographing courthouses, we were ignoring the old jails – which in some cases are more interesting and historic than the courthouse.

    Does your historic jail still have any cells, gallows, or other hardware in place? Our 1910 Hidalgo County Jail is to be restored, but none of its old jail fixtures remain. I’m trying to get photos from other Texas jails that still have theirs. Could you let me know, please?
