go to Sterling County Courthouse – revisited
We were on are way to a vacation in Oregon. We did a few of the counties we passed through – including Sterling County. Buried deep in what is called west Texas – Sterling County is like many other West Texas and Panhandle counties – lots of land – few people. I wasn’t too excited about this courthouse – but it did have some interesting details. In particular, there were decorative panels representing local industry on the outside, there was a large garden in the front yard that used an outline of Texas as its frame, and inside there were plenty of art deco touches decorating the hallways.
