Building was first constructed in 1922 & designed by Sanguinet & Staats. So thoroughly remodeled that little remains of the original. So, we will call this courthouse 1950’s modern – and it sure looks it. To give some credit to the new 50’s look, the halls were bright and shiny with all the polished marble. And the courtroom was large and also quite bright with all the blond wood used. Most interesting here, however, is the front exterior. Aqua was chosen as the highlight color here – much like the appliances from the 50’s. And etched in the front was a nice mural depicting the county’s economic strenghts – oil, cattle and farming.
