What a wonderful little courthouse. It has been restored and is a shiny gem of a courthouse. The day we visited, it had been very cold and pretty dreary – so the pictures often look dreary, but not here. The sun came out and it made for some beautiful photos. The rededication took place on March 12, 2015. Inside, there’s not a lot that’s too exciting – except for it’s orginality. The hall ceilings are once again barrelled – and bare hanging bulbs provide the light! Really a joy to visit. Put it on your list! It’s hard to miss. Throckmorton, a pretty small town, and the courthouse is right on the corner of the main highways into and out of town.
