Just posting a quick update. I’ve been overwhelmed with doing some work (substitute teaching), a special project for a friend, etc. etc. And I’ve truly let the site get a little moldy from neglect. Anyhow – taking a trip out of state, so I’ve added a few counties just to try to keep up. We have at least 2 more trips planned this year with anywhere from 10 – 16 additional counties being collected, so look forward to that.
Today’s additions are really kind of dull in a lot of ways. Menard County is moderne and was being remodeled when we visited – so it wasn’t at its best. Medina is OK – much like Blanco County, with the rusticated stone work. Nacogdoches is the epitome of 1950’s architecture, looking much like a motel or a school. Nueces County is very modern, but I think appealing. Take a look and let us know what you think. And then there’s Montgomery county. Might have been an interesting moderne building at one time, but is now surrounded by some very non-descript additions.
Until later –
