This courthouse has wonderful detail and is good example of the beaux arts style from early in the 1900’s. Having said that, it is next to impossible to capture in photos. The numerous trees hide the facade quite effectively. Of course, being in Texas – and south Texas at that, the shade is appreciated, it just isn’t a great photo tool. It does have a prominent dome (again, difficult to capture in photos), but the dome doesn’t really add much to the interior accept for the airiness the open foyer provides.
