I haven’t necessarily sought out city halls on our journeys – but this modern edifice is an exception. The reason being the interesting murals that decorate the outside walls. Crystal City is a center for winter gardening – note POPEYE (spinach) for which the area is especially known. As such, lots of migrant workers made the area their winter home. It became known as a center for the beginning of the La Raza movement and migrant worker rights.
