Belle Mont is an early example of an Alabama Plantation Home. It was built around 1830 and has been little altered over the years. This home was EXTREMELY difficult to find – evening using GPS. It sits quite a ways back from the road – and has the littlest of signs. Worth a visit if you’re in the Quad-City area of Northwest Alabama. BTW – no photos inside the house!
