A nice town square with the requisite courthouse in the center. Not quite as busy or historic as I had thought, but pleasant enough. Stephenville is far enough from DFW not to be a growing suburb of that metro area – but it thrives none the less. There is a university – Tarleton State, obviously a booming dairy business (#1 in Texas), county seat of Erath County and home of the Stepheville Yellow Jackets – winners of lots of different state titles, and considered a football power.
