Impressions: Burnet was having Market Days when we visited. This is a small town tradition in Texas – mainly developed to encourage visitors and I guess to get the locals out into the town square.
The courthouse was probably one of the best examples of moderne with art deco highlights we’ve seen. The lights upfront, the marble frescoes, the doors, the windows, all came together to present a great period piece.
The town square is very neat and complete. Well worth a visit.
