This old courthouse sits in Helena, Texas, which was the county seat for Karnes County prior to Karnes City. The old courthouse is actually now the county museum and can be visited inside – if you go during business hours. We didn’t, so I guess we’ll have to stop here if were ever in the area again. I also included a fair number of pictures of an old and quite imposing large home. Having passed through Helena before, I thought that was the retired courthouse – but I was wrong.
