Comanche County has had 4 or 5 courthouses counting the current 1930’s version. While they’ve torn down much of that past – the original log cabin courthouse was moved from the first county seat – Cora, and rebuilt here. In addition – they’ve kept other pieces of previous courthouses, including the columns from one of the 1890 courthouse portico and inside the courthouse – a statue that sat on top of the that same courthouse.
